"This was one unexpected surprise. A doctor that’s on-time, listens, explains and is extremely intelligent and beyond bright. Dr. Liebovich did both my colonoscopy as well as endoscopy and it was a million more times precise then a few years ago with my previous physician. Dr.. Liebovich is confident, talented and reassuring. He explained all my medical concerns & procedures in great detail and he has a natural ability to show genuine compassion and concern. "I’ve been a patient of Dr. Carl Robinson for years and I appreciate his care and value his opinion. Recently he performed my recent colonoscopy and upper GI and Dr. Robinson is ALWAYS informative. I know I always have tons of questions about my health, and he really takes his time and never rushed, about making sure I have the answers to my questions and that I understand everything clearly. "Can't tell how good a doctor he is, but He was a nice man, but couldn't treat me without the endoscopy and colonoscopy and when they called me to setup those appointments, they couldn't do it till September so I'm trying to find someone who can do it sooner, as I'm experiencing pain, but he was very nice."

"Dr D'Astice is well qualified and does his homework on each patient, over 10 years ago I was throwing up blood and didn't know what the problem was, he did tests, upper GI and put me on the right medicine, about a year ago I had to have a colonoscopy done, there was a complication , nothing life threatening but he made the precautions and finished the procedure, I have to say this Doctor I'd professional and his "bedside" manner is one of the best, you feel very comfortable, and happy , he makes you feel very assured of the information he tells you , thanks again for your service."

Brandi and Nancy were so upbeat and a pleasure to be taken care of by. While more and more staff at doctor's offices act like you are an inconvenience, this staff is the exact opposite. Having a colonoscopy is not anything anyone looks forward to--this staff is what should be the template for other offices to base themselves off of."
"Prepping for my first Colonoscopy wasn't easy. The day of my appointment all the staff treated me with such compassion and kindness. They answered my questions and calmed my fears and worry. I felt like family. I felt at ease. Everything went well! Dr. Pillai and all of his staff were amazing. Highly recommended!"
"The nurses were all friendly and accommodating. The anesthesiologist went through the process with me and was also a nice man. Dr Christopoulos was very professional and gave me the the results in terms I could understand. I have to give a shout out to Debbie, one of the receptionists. I was very upset when I got there, because we got lost on the way there and I had to go the bathroom really really badly. She walked me around the facility to calm me down so my BP was not over the top. It must have worked because my BP was 135/60 before the procedure. Though having a colonoscopy (especially the prep) is not a walk in the park, the staff there was exceptionally efficient as well as compassionate."

"Finding a doctor whom you can fully trust and rely about your health is one delicate task. For my husband Steve and I, I did ask recommendations from friends and others I know. I did go farther than that by going to a website that can tell me more about the person like what school where he graduated, where he did his residency, if there is any lawsuit against him. Having these informations is only a part of the equation but are solid enough to hold unto for a start. With all the names I was recommended and my own researched, I chose Dr. Walter Reid Glaws, DO. I started seeing him on the 3rd quarter of 2008. My husband followed my lead a year later. Dr. Glaws is been our gastroenterologist for over 14 years. We highly and absolutely recommend Dr Glaws to anyone who is in need of his expertise. He has the integrity, intelligence, energy and unwavering dedication to do his job the best he can. He has the excellent physician manners to his patients, full of compassion and understanding and takes his time to explain to his patients things they needed to know. Our honest observations of him for over 14 long years is that his patient's well being is his foremost goal as a physician. Deep in his heart, we noticed he takes his ( Hipocrates Oath seriously when taking care his patients. He had performed multiple endoscopy and colonoscopy procedures to us through the years. He had done several biopsies and and several polyps removals too. I underwent GERD treatment and was a success as well. In 2009, he found in my endoscopy procedure that I have nodules in my stomach wall. I went to see a surgeon (and got 4 more different opinions from other surgeons who aren't related to one another) that led me to have a partial gastrectomy. After my successful stomach surgery, we continued to go visit him for any gastroenterology issues we have. He moved in 2018 from the clinic where we used to go see him that is just 7 minutes away from our residence. He moved quite from us to other branches of his practice group. I went to see another one but I don't see those same qualities he have so we decided to follow him. My husband and I, just have our 2 endoscopy and 2 colonoscopy procedures with him this Dec. of 2022. Again, as always his service was unparallel. We can boldly say, we owe him so much of our good health in his expertise and that we're so appreciative for all he had done for us and for many more years to come. His office employees are awesome and so helpful and kind. The Northshore Endoscopy Center in Waukegan where we have our back to back procedures is a great place to go. The employees- from front desk, nurses, anesthesiologist, and everyone in the there were amazing and compassionate. May God bless Dr Glaws, his family and the people who work with him always. "Update: From the time I made the first phone call to the time the procedure was done was 3 months. I stuck with them because although the scheduling process is in need of a re-do, the doctors are great. If I didn’t complain on Google I’m not sure I would have ever got through. So I am changing my stars from 1 to 4. Doctors are great, scheduling process needs to be simplified more. At least return phone calls. 1st post: I called to make an appt then I was told they will call us in 10-14 days to ask about my medical history, then it would go on the desk of a doctor to approve a colonoscopy which will take 10-14 days and someone will call to schedule a colonoscopy. Well they never called. I’ve left several messages and got no call back."
"Edit 2: received a call back shortly following my first edit below. Dr Cahill was gracious with her time and explained the results as well as treatment options with me. EDIT: Although Dr. Cahill is wonderful, I need to edit down my review. It’s been 12 days since my procedure and I still have not received results from my biopsy. Dr. Cahill has been so good to me during my treatment with continuing digestive issues. She does not “push” any certain treatment or test but rather takes the time to review all options. Dr. Cahill is also very conscientious of insurance coverage so that there are no major unexpected out of pocket charges. Aside from all of this, Dr. Cahill has made me feel very comfortable in spite of how awkward it can be to discuss digestive issues and undergo a colonoscopy. I’ve never once felt embarrassed with her and that I appreciate so much!"
"I really like Dr Godambe. I feel she is one of the few doctors who respects the patient's decisions about their healthcare. I have ulcerative colitis, and although she offers suggestions about new medications to make my life and colitis better, she doesn't force her opinion or try to intimidate me (as some GI dr's I've had in the past try to do). Excellent bedside manner; very caring. She did my last colonoscopy and it went very smoothly. Highly recommend her."

"Dr Greenberg saw me for a general follow up appointment after providing care to me for the first time when I was admitted to the hospital. Although he said a follow up wasn't necessary he still accepted me as a new patient and took the time to answer all my questions. You couldn't ask for a more professional staff from the moment you walk into his office to the point of discharge. We were treated with kindness and compassion by all staff members. "This is my second colonoscopy with Dr. Arndt (10 years apart). I find him to be friendly, kind and competent. He makes a pre procedure call to explain everything and answer questions. I found the prep tolerable and not too harsh. The day of the procedure went smoothly. The staff is outstanding… professional, kind and reassuring. Dr. Arndt was wonderful as I have come to expect. I also appreciate receiving anesthesia from a CRNA (who was exceptional). The procedure went as expected and I was home in less than two hours. "I went to the Illinois Gastrenterology for the first time to have my COLONOSCOPY. I have been seening Dr. Greenberg since probably the early 1990's. I have had him do my COLONOSCOPIES at St. ALLEXIUS hospital in Hoffman ESTATES since I live in Streamwood. This time his office suggested that I have my test done at their office in Arlington Heights. It truly was a pleasure doing my procedure at the Illinois Gastro office rather than the hospital. It was so much easier 1 to find a parking spot 2 the staff at Illinois Gastro is very kind and very hard working and they get you prepped really fast and the anesthesiologist is supper kind and she gave me just enough of the sleeping stuff that I woke up quicker and I never woke up during the procedure. Well, I can't say enough about Dr. GREENBERG because he is a very nice person and his bedside manners are fantastic. He explains everything before your procedure and after your procedure when he gives you your results. So like I said the Illinois Gastro CENTER is so much better and easier to go to and they work quicker and Dr. GREENBERG is awesome he has been my gastro doctor for way over 20 plus years. Along with every thing I have said about Illinois Gastro CENTER and Dr GREENBERG also he is my wifes Gastro Doctor as well. My wife explains Doctor GREENBERG as very gentle with his bedside manners as well as she will now get her procedure done at Illinois Gastro office also. "Dr. Shapiro is a GI doctor. He sent me a reminder to make an appointment, which I ignored, then he sent me another one which I ignored. I just hadn’t been feeling strong enough to get through a colonoscopy. Then he made me an appointment and I thought I’d better go. I did, and was admitted with viral pneumonia and Covid. He saved my life. Had I not gone to him that day the I would not have made it, I had a 102° fever. "I am a first time patient of Dr Losurdo and the Illinois Gatro Group. Purpose of visit - colonoscopy. Office staff is very professional, helpful and followed extreme care related to COVID. My initial appointment with Dr Losurdo was very thorough. Setting up appointment for the procedure was done immediately after appointment and I left office knowing exactly what to expect and do to prepare from the prescription, COVID test, diet restrictions, all the way to day-of requirements. I ended up having to reschedule via phone and that was completed within 24 hrs of initial call to office. Office provides perfect level of reminders too. "This was my first colonoscopy experience, but at 57 I knew I needed it done. I had some trepidation going into the whole process, but mostly uncertainty. But after leaving Dr Adler's office I was pretty amazed at how easy it all was. From the time I walked in to a warm and genuine greeting from one of the nurses (I think her name was Jackie) to the time I walked out a couple of hours later, it was stress-free, painless, and comfortable. Including the front desk person and Dr Adler I believe there were five people I interacted with during the procedure. Each of them was very helpful, making me comfortable and putting my mind at ease. When I was brought into the room for the procedure, the nurse anesthetist (Nikki or Nicole) explain what she would be doing, and after administering the anesthesia I think I was out within 30 seconds and "came to" after a very deep and satisfying sleep. There were no complications during the procedure, images were shown of a few polyps that were found, and I was told that I would get news of the test results soon afterward. While some people have reported being a bit loopy afterward, I felt no odd side effects and had a pretty normal day from there on. They asked if I wanted a follow-up "well-being check" which I declined, since everything had gone so well. The office did follow up with a phone call with tested results in a reasonable time. "Today I had my colonoscopy with Dr. Sun. I chose her because my health insurance has her rated as a Premium Quality Physician. Dr. Sun has an excellent bedside manner. I was extremely nervous and terrified today about the having the procedure because my BFF in Detroit passed away from colon cancer just two weeks ago. I explained this to Dr Sun then she unexpectedly held my hand and assured me she was going to take good care of me. This sincere and very kind gesture made me feel comfortable and at ease because I was a bundle of nerves. Her nurse Mary Beth put a cold compress on my forehead to further calm me down which worked. After the procedure was finished Dr. Sun came back to me and gave me my results she held my hand again. Not only is Dr Sun a very highly skilled physician but she is also very caring. I highly recommend her to anyone who is thinking about having a colonoscopy. I also must mention Marie also on her staff was very professional and courteous when I called to set up the appointment and she gave detailed information on preparing for the procedure. Marie did not mind that I called her back several times to make sure I was doing everything correctly to prepare for the procedure."
"I had an EGD done here a few days ago. The nurses are extremely caring and understanding. I was very anxious going in to the procedure and the nurses and anesthesiologist helped calm me down and explained everything that would happen in depth. They also listened to my concerns very attentively. Amazing bedside manner by all. Dr. Christopolous, my gastroenterologist, performed the EGD, and I woke up comfortable and with no pain. Had a little sore throat for about a day and a half, and that was it. The facility was clean and well maintained as well. All in all, I had a great experience for something I was extremely nervous about."
"I am at a loss with this other reviewer. I am the opposite. I do not want the doctor to say things just to make me feel better. I just want the truth, and that is what Dr Blum will give you. His full office, and full schedule shows he is a good doctor. An appointment with him is definitely worth the wait. I am fully confident in his capability based off of my own experience when I had a colonoscopy/endoscopy he did in 2012, and the Endoscopy I just had in July. He was not at all condescending or rude. He was genuinely interested in solving the problem. I would not base my decision to see a doctor off of an emotional review. It was a great experience for me."
