Dr. Patricia Sun was born and raised in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. She graduated from New York University with Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa honors. She received the Bertram M. Gesner Memorial Award for Excellence in Immunology Research from New York University School of Medicine. She received extensive training in both gastroenterology and hepatology during her GI fellowship at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. She is married and has two children.

When we recently met to discuss a GI condition I’m experiencing, Dr. Sun listened to me attentively, asked important questions, and set up a plan to begin to deal with the situation. She explained the reason behind each recommendation as well as possible side effects. I was referred for some outpatient tests and received detailed feedback on the results promptly through her nurse.
While very knowledgeable, Dr. Sun is still humble and personable. Based on my interactions so far, I highly recommend her.
