"The office staff is friendly and accommodating. They understand my needs and I have been able to get appointments quickly (new patient within 3 weeks)and follow ups within one week of calling. Other practices I contacted gave me a six- week- away appointment as a new patient. It is hard to wait that long when you are not feeling well. Dr. Bloom is knowledgeable and practical. He is generous with his time during the office visit. You will never feel rushed during a visit and he takes the time to answer all of your questions."

"Finding a doctor whom you can fully trust and rely about your health is one delicate task. For my husband Steve and I, I did ask recommendations from friends and others I know. I did go farther than that by going to a website that can tell me more about the person like what school where he graduated, where he did his residency, if there is any lawsuit against him. Having these informations is only a part of the equation but are solid enough to hold unto for a start. With all the names I was recommended and my own researched, I chose Dr. Walter Reid Glaws, DO. I started seeing him on the 3rd quarter of 2008. My husband followed my lead a year later. Dr. Glaws is been our gastroenterologist for over 14 years. We highly and absolutely recommend Dr Glaws to anyone who is in need of his expertise. He has the integrity, intelligence, energy and unwavering dedication to do his job the best he can. He has the excellent physician manners to his patients, full of compassion and understanding and takes his time to explain to his patients things they needed to know. Our honest observations of him for over 14 long years is that his patient's well being is his foremost goal as a physician. Deep in his heart, we noticed he takes his ( Hipocrates Oath seriously when taking care his patients. He had performed multiple endoscopy and colonoscopy procedures to us through the years. He had done several biopsies and and several polyps removals too. I underwent GERD treatment and was a success as well. In 2009, he found in my endoscopy procedure that I have nodules in my stomach wall. I went to see a surgeon (and got 4 more different opinions from other surgeons who aren't related to one another) that led me to have a partial gastrectomy. After my successful stomach surgery, we continued to go visit him for any gastroenterology issues we have. He moved in 2018 from the clinic where we used to go see him that is just 7 minutes away from our residence. He moved quite from us to other branches of his practice group. I went to see another one but I don't see those same qualities he have so we decided to follow him. My husband and I, just have our 2 endoscopy and 2 colonoscopy procedures with him this Dec. of 2022. Again, as always his service was unparallel. We can boldly say, we owe him so much of our good health in his expertise and that we're so appreciative for all he had done for us and for many more years to come. His office employees are awesome and so helpful and kind. The Northshore Endoscopy Center in Waukegan where we have our back to back procedures is a great place to go. The employees- from front desk, nurses, anesthesiologist, and everyone in the there were amazing and compassionate. May God bless Dr Glaws, his family and the people who work with him always. "My experience with Dr. Losurdo was great. I had been dealing with issues for a few weeks and was dismissed by a few ER doctors. I was fortunate enough to get a quick appointment with Dr. Losurdo. He took his time to ask questions, was extremely thorough and was able to correctly diagnose my issue. On top of being thorough, he was very kind! The phone system here is a little difficult, however, the office is prompt in returning phone calls and messages through the online portal. I am so glad to have found a helpful doctor!"

"I went to the Illinois Gastrenterology for the first time to have my COLONOSCOPY. I have been seening Dr. Greenberg since probably the early 1990's. I have had him do my COLONOSCOPIES at St. ALLEXIUS hospital in Hoffman ESTATES since I live in Streamwood. This time his office suggested that I have my test done at their office in Arlington Heights. It truly was a pleasure doing my procedure at the Illinois Gastro office rather than the hospital. It was so much easier 1 to find a parking spot 2 the staff at Illinois Gastro is very kind and very hard working and they get you prepped really fast and the anesthesiologist is supper kind and she gave me just enough of the sleeping stuff that I woke up quicker and I never woke up during the procedure. Well, I can't say enough about Dr. GREENBERG because he is a very nice person and his bedside manners are fantastic. He explains everything before your procedure and after your procedure when he gives you your results. So like I said the Illinois Gastro CENTER is so much better and easier to go to and they work quicker and Dr. GREENBERG is awesome he has been my gastro doctor for way over 20 plus years. Along with every thing I have said about Illinois Gastro CENTER and Dr GREENBERG also he is my wifes Gastro Doctor as well. My wife explains Doctor GREENBERG as very gentle with his bedside manners as well as she will now get her procedure done at Illinois Gastro office also. "Dr. Shapiro is a GI doctor. He sent me a reminder to make an appointment, which I ignored, then he sent me another one which I ignored. I just hadn’t been feeling strong enough to get through a colonoscopy. Then he made me an appointment and I thought I’d better go. He checked out the GI department and said I’m not well enough to get a colonoscopy and I didn’t have any polyps last time anyway. He said my issues were from chemo. I have lung cancer and I hadn’t been feeling well, as a matter of fact I was sick as a dog when I went in to see him. My son drove me. Dr. Shapiro listened to my lungs intently, he didn’t like what he heard and contacted my oncologist. They both determined that I better get to the ER ASAP. I did, and was admitted with viral pneumonia and Covid. He saved my life. Had I not gone to him that day the I would not have made it, I had a 102° fever. Dr. Shapiro goes above and beyond for his patients. He is amazing, I’ve been going to him for 30 years for colonoscopys. I cannot speak more highly of him."

Can’t enjoy food, have normal bowel movements, plus your social life, mood and sleep is affected. I’m thankful because Dr. Bernsen took care of me. He offered me medications my previous provider never mentioned. And after 1 tablet of prednisone Dr.Bernsen prescribed, my symptoms improved drastically. I can not say enough of how thankful I am of getting my life back. All my ulcerative colitis signs and symptoms resolved after incorporating a new treatment plan. "I have had a few colonoscopies performed by Dr Vainder over the past number of years. During these procedures, I only had a brief pre-op conversation with Dr Vainder until the sedative kicked in. And of course I hardly ever remember his post-op comments since some of the drug residual affected my memory! I did receive a very thorough written follow up with the results of my procedures. However, I recently needed a procedure to check out some acid reflux issues. During my pre-op office consultation and follow up office visits, I finally got to spend some time with him, unencumbered by drugs etc! I found Dr Vainder to be very personable. He talked to me like one of my friends in trying to determine a solution to my issues. I didnt have to listen to a bunch of "medical school speak" that I probably couldnt understand. After he reviewed op results and with input from me, he proposed a plan for a 60 day period and we would evaluate afterwards. No speeches, no lectures, no big medical terms...just a simple straight forward plan. I really appreciated his honesty and genuine interest in solving my problem. "I suffer from Barrett’s esophagus, IBS, and have a history of 18 colonoscopies with benign polyps and the last one a pre cancerous polyp was found. All I’ve ever had by my old GI Dr were Tests ! When I went to see Dr Cahill she said, “ has anyone talked to you about how to treat these disorders ?” I thought to myself , besides ordering prescriptions and laxatives and telling me to watch my diet I never ever had a Dr talk to me about how I might fix these problems! She sat across from me looked into my eyes and spent at least 25 minutes going over my digestive issues, what brought them on, what made them worse, etc., then examined my abdomen and ordered me some new medications and set up an appointment for a study to test the nerves and muscles in my bowel which no one ever thought of checking before. The front desk staff was so compassionate set up another appointment in a month and an appoint for my test. The Rx were at my pharmacy on my way home and ready for me.. What a great experience! Dr Cahill is very compassionate, brilliant, professional, and thorough. She is the Dr I’ve been looking for for years! I’m so glad I finally found an old fashion Dr that is young! "This was my first colonoscopy experience, but at 57 I knew I needed it done. I had some trepidation going into the whole process, but mostly uncertainty. But after leaving Dr Adler's office I was pretty amazed at how easy it all was. From the time I walked in to a warm and genuine greeting from one of the nurses (I think her name was Jackie) to the time I walked out a couple of hours later, it was stress-free, painless, and comfortable. Including the front desk person and Dr Adler I believe there were five people I interacted with during the procedure. Each of them was very helpful, making me comfortable and putting my mind at ease. When I was brought into the room for the procedure, the nurse anesthetist (Nikki or Nicole) explain what she would be doing, and after administering the anesthesia I think I was out within 30 seconds and "came to" after a very deep and satisfying sleep. There were no complications during the procedure, images were shown of a few polyps that were found, and I was told that I would get news of the test results soon afterward. While some people have reported being a bit loopy afterward, I felt no odd side effects and had a pretty normal day from there on. They asked if I wanted a follow-up "well-being check" which I declined, since everything had gone so well. The office did follow up with a phone call with tested results in a reasonable time. In summary, my experience with Dr. Adler and his staff was really "first rate.""

"First met with Dr. Kaiser on September 28, 2020 for a consultation regarding intestinal problems I was experiencing. After a lengthy conversation about my concerns, he suggested we begin with a Colonoscopy then get the results and go from there. I had the colonoscopy a week later, October 7th, and was attended to by Dr. Patel. Procedure went well, and I was contacted by I.G. office nurse on Friday, October 9th that my diagnosis was Lymphocytic Colitis and a steroid was being ordered for me that I was to take daily for 8 weeks and that would hopefully take care of the inflammation problem in my large intestine. But alas, my insurance would not cover the cost of the medicine even though it was generic. At this point, October 13th I am still awaiting a response from Dr. Patel's office, or Dr. khaiser's office, or Walgreens regarding what the next step is."
