"I was referred to Dr. Pillai by my General Surgeon. From the time I walked into the Door of the office Until I left, it was a good experience. The Receptionist was pleasant and informative. The Nurse was very professional and nice. Dr. Pillai was WONDERFUL. He listened to the reason of why I was there and my concerns. He explained everything in great detail of what he was going to do and just gave a sense of comfort throughout the whole process. I went in a basket case and left calmer than I have been in days. So, if you are looking for a Great Gastroenterologist, look no further, this Doctor is the one you want. It’s feels good to know that some Doctors still have great bedside manners and that they are personable. It makes what you are going through a less scary."
"The nurses and Dr. Lee are dedicated and compassionate, always striking just the right balance between business and humor. I feel extremely fortunate that when I was at my sickest they were there taking care of me--returning phone calls, listening (really listening) to my concerns, juggling complicated schedules, explaining what was happening and why; and they were always always up for persuading my insurance company to approve new medications. In terms of education and professional training Dr. Lee checks all the boxes a patient could hope for. He also dances upon hearing how well you're doing at a follow up. And, appointments and procedures run on time!"

"Difficult abdominal surgery (colectomy) with excellent results in August 2023. And no cancer. Now one year later the surveillance colonoscopy (08/26/24) also revealed two much smaller polyps easily removed during this procedure. Also benign with no malignancy. No cancer. Now starts a longer three year interval for my next precautionary surveillance colonoscopy. Relief. Miracles do happen! A collaborative approach with my PC physician, GI Alliance and Dr. Lawrence Gluskin, and with my surgeon Dr. Mark Connolly at Ascension St. Joseph Hospital Medical Center in 2023. Medical expertise at its BEST! Collaboration and excellent communication. Perfect results. Relationships matter. And God’s hand in every result. Thank you. Raymond Kufeldt."

"Dr. Julka is an excellent doctor who will take the time to listen to your questions and concerns, and make sure they’re answered. Often times, they are running behind, but I know it’s because he’s spending that extra time with his patients. I know I want that for myself. I’m not a fan of the new phone system. Unless you’re making an appointment there is no real option to choose to speak to someone, then you have to text why you’re calling. It is usually a day later before you get a call back. Then you can be playing phone tag. I prefer the old system where a live person answered and you can talk to someone immediately if you’re having an issue. Overall, I recommend GI Alliance—the doctors are very good here."

"We were pleased to have a cart ride from the UIAA tent to the ticket gate on the East side. If such were available after the game to Lot 31 that would have benefitted me greatly given my sciatica. Also the exit the prior week was terrible from the East stands and having the vendors’ carts blocking the exit lanes on the outside were a major issue. We couldn’t even get out of the stadium hall way!! The Orange Affair was excellent."

"Dr. Bernsen came highly recommended by a couple of friends. After avoiding my first colonoscopy for a few years, I finally got it over with and felt silly for the delay. Nobody likes the prep. It is what it is! The day of the procedure was a breeze! From the front desk to the nurses, techs, anesthesiologist and Dr. Bernsen, everyone was kind, caring and efficient. Everything was explained throughout and I felt well cared for."

"I had to take this moment to give Dr. Darren Ballard and his team 5 stars on a superb and excellent job during my recent visit at South Suburban Hospital for a colonoscopy screening. From the moment I walked in until I left, I was treated with the most ultimate care. Dr. Ballard was very hospitable and caring when I first met him. The anesthesiologist (Dr. Kumar) was kind and informative. He asked what can of music would I like before being sedated. The nurses were very considerate and loving. This entire experience under Dr. Ballard’s care was professional, loving and exceeded all my expectations. Dr. Ballard is now my gastroenterologist should I ever need him in the future. I only had one polyp, which was extracted and sent to pathology. I’m glad it’s all over now. "Dr. Sun & her team are awesome. Most of the front staff is nice too. Except for one woman at the front with glasses. On numerous occasions, she has been quite rude every time I've been there. Please note, I understand how most front office staff have to deal with a lot of patients & are doing a lot all at once or maybe short staffed everywhere, but compassion to each patient IS necessary. Please find a better way to auto answer your phones when you're busy. That's totally understandable...but to make curt remarks about how people are late when you KNOW your system is glitch is NOT necessary. Treat each patient like a human being since WE are the patients with the physical problem while we are paying for the services of the great doctors but not to be treated like cattle or little kids. Check your attitude down a notch since most people are already not feeling well to begin with. Thank you. Otherwise, great, clean efficient office with other compassionate staff on hand once you slay the dragon at the front."

She listened to everything I had to say and asked a lot of questions, started ordering tests immediately and followed up first thing the next day when the first results were in. She actually gave me different instructions than any other GI that I’ve seen (there have been several). The office was clean, they were organized and very efficient, but I was not rushed during my appointment in any way. I would definitely recommend to anyone!"

"I certainly could write multitudes of accolades regarding our treasured, Dr.Stinneford. However, I'd much rather share a beautifully touching short story that goes back to 1998. My mother, Helen was hospitalized at Sherman Hospital, her Primary Doctor asked Dr. Stinneford to evaluate her. Upon meeting him the very first time, my mother said the following heartfelt words, "Janet, I just love Dr. Stinneford, he reminds me of your brother, Jim ( her favorite child). With a tear in her eye she continued, could you ask him if I may call him Dr.Jim." I did ask him per my mother's last precious request. His answer, "I would be "honored" if your mother, Helen would call me Dr. Jim." This short story speaks volumes, humility at it's finest from one of the most beloved Dr's. of all time!"
